Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, shaped by loud, sarcastic Shabbat dinners and a large family in love with art and arguing, Joshua grew up around the film industry and spent much of his early life not only fascinated by the magic and hustle of production, but mesmerized by the performance, expression, and impact of a stark visual image.

 

Influenced by the intentionality of cinematographers such as Agnés Godard, Robby Müller, and Roger Deakins, Josh is always motivated by narrative, regardless of medium and genre, and the joy brought through meaningful collaboration. He loves sharing his passion with others, working on projects that ignite his emotions, and striving to capture those emotions on screen.
